Our story.
How one car started RAR Mobile Autoworks
My passion for vehicles started with my father. As a kid, we went to car shows, built model cars, flew planes, and worked on our Mustang. Pretty much anything with a motor excited me. This 1968 Mustang would end up changing my life. It was always a project for me and my father, but it never ran. Then, in 2014, my father passed, leaving me with memories, a garage full of tools, and a strong passion for cars. This put me in a unique situation for a 10-year-old because I now had to learn everything on my own.
The mustang sat in the barn until 2020 when COVID shut down my high school. I now had the perfect chance to get the Mustang going finally, so I cleaned up the garage, dragged the Mustang out of the barn, and started collecting parts. Slowly but surely, I started chipping away at the Mustang and learning a lot along the way. Then, in 2021, I took it for its first drive since 1979. The next day, I got it inspected and hit the road.
I now had a car, knowledge, and a garage full of tools. Friends from school started noticing and would ask for help fixing their cars. Then it hit me, I should make a business out of this. Since 2022, I have been working on cars almost every day. In 2024 I filed for my LLC, and competed in my colleges’s version of Shark Tank, “Dolphin Tank”. After receiving funding, I was able to get the business running and add some new services.
Then I returned for Dolphin Tank 2025. This year, I was aiming to purchase a Volkswagen Bus to run a mobile repair shop out of. I am excited to say that we got the bus! It is now loaded up and ready to tackle some repairs. None of this would be possible without the help of Le Moyne College and the awesome folks at the Keenan Center who helped me through every step ensuring that my business was legal and set up right.
